Position 10 for SEO Web Design

Now Binh.name is being positioned 10 on both main keywords:

  • SEO Web Design, and
  • SEO Web Designer.

In the past it used to have top position for my first name Binh. However, it may be due to Google updating the PR, my site is being listed at position #13 for that.

Mean while, for the same potential reason, my name Binh Nguyen normally placed my site on #3 position, now place it on top position.

If I build links well, I expect in the future my site also have site links like other high PR sites have. However, I'm not seriously doing it yet.

Ranks 54 on SEO Web Design

I've been targeting SEO Web Design and SEO Web Designer keywords since March 2008. I haven't officially provide any SEO services, yet. However, I do plan to improve my ranking on those keywords and when I do provide services, I can use this as a case study for my success.

Since Binh.name has increased PR from 3 to 4, here are the changes on placements search engine result page:

Status Report – April 2008

I'm very pleased to announced that Binh.name's Google Page Rank has increased from 3 to 4 as 1 May approached. My blog is having Page Strength of 3.5 (Page Strength SEO Tool - SEOmoz.org) and the following stats.

Google Pagerank of domain 4
Links pointing to domain: 5140
Position at Google for first four words of title tag on target URL 1
Age of Domain: Data not found
Links from domains with .edu or .gov TLDs: 0
Alexa Rank 200246
Domain name visibility (A count of results at Google for a search for your domain, showing URL visibility rather than incoming link count.) 1730

Some SEO Tweaks on 8 Mar 2008

I've made a few more changes. This times it's especially for SEO purpose.

Blog Title

I change my blog name from 'Webmaster Binh Nguyen's Blog | Binh.name' to 'SEO Web Designer Binh Nguyen'.

This title more accurately describes my position. Firstly 'webmaster' doesn't need to have strong programming skills. Secondly, although I'm more a web developer (more coding) than a web designer (more designing) but people don't use the term web developer as often as web designer.

Another point to be noticed is that I practice more SEO design than Graphic design. That's why now I choose SEO Web Designer.

Site Layout Changes 7 Mar 2008

There are some major changes been going on my blog in the last 2 days. And so far, I have made changes to the theme, the pages, and the categories. Which I describe in more details here.

New Temporary Theme

First of all, it's a must mention that I have officially adapt this temporary professional theme. You can read some info about that here This Blog is Dressing Up. I already spotted out a few bugs since I applied the theme. Since then, I did fix some and still have some. So could you please, do me a favor and leave me some comment on what type of bug you see?

Binh.name Positioned 3rd for my Own Name

It's a very big surprise for me to see my blog is listed at third position for the following keywords:

So what's the secret behind all this? The answer will be given at the end of this post, for now, allow me to keep on bragging.

Of course those keywords mean nothing for money and keyword ranking, because who would ever search for binh or binh nguyen? But that was my experiment and I'm extremely happy with this result.

What sort of experiment? You may ask. For a while, my blog has been on first position for only the following keywords:

The Future of Binh dot Name

I've been busy these few days and haven't post as many useful posts as I should. My apologies for that. I would like to restate a few reasons here and I hope to receive your suggestions. The reasons are:

  1. This blog is being redesigned.
  2. New sub domains or domains are coming up.
  3. The URL structure is not finalized.

If you are kind-hearted, knowledgeable and give me suggestions, I will have rewards for you too. Don't worry, the minimum I could give you are some good keyword back links to your site from my PR3 blog. I'm not rich now so my pocket money is limited. I can make some nice award if what you give change my life.
